Dear Riley,
Today is your first birthday. As you lie napping in my arms, I can feel the tears welling up in my eyes. I can feel all the emotions of this past year bubbling over: sheer joy, excitement, anticipation, nervousness, trepidation, fear, awe, wonder. You and I have a bond that no one seems to understand.
