Camping at Fort Mountain

Mid-May, we went on our first family camping trip to Fort Mountain State Park. We sold our camper last year, so this go round we were tent camping. What an adventure! Robin and I slept on the air mattress, Riley in his pack 'n play, and Dawson on his air mattress/sleeping bag. It was so much fun just the four of us, outside. Our good friends went with us and they have an almost 2 year old, so it was nice to spend time with them, as well. It rained almost the entire weekend, but we didn't care. Riley did amazing! He slept way better than he ever has, so we may be moving to a tent outside in order to get some rest. He would sleep 9 hours straight at night and then take 3 hour naps during the day. He is still co-sleeping with us, so this was a much needed baby reprieve from our bed. When it wasn't raining, we went on hikes, cooked outside, took naps, and played games.

What Weve Been Up to Lately...

My computer has been messed up and I haven't been able to upload pictures, but hopefully that has been resolved. Here's a picture montage of our last two months...

Riley now has 6 teeth! Holy chompers! They are coming in all at once and super fast! His hair is still as red as ever! Ooooh, I just love him! I can't believe he will be one in a few days...

Ten Months

Riley, this is what you are currently doing at 10 months:
1. You weigh about 23 lbs and are 31 inches long.
2. You are wearing size 24 month clothes.
3. Your hair is still so red. Everyone comments about it when we go out.
4. Your eyes have changed to green/hazel. Beautiful!
5. You have 2 bottom teeth and one top tooth, but you are cutting more and so very unhappy about it.
6. Your two favorite things are mommy and food!
7. You are still up 2-3 times a night. And you are still sleeping in the bed with us.
8. Your favorite toys are stacking blocks, stuffed animals, and paci's.
9. Your first word was "dada". You can now say "dada", "yaya", "nana" and "mama".
10. You take 2 naps a day of about an hour to an hour and a half each.

9 Months

As Riley gets older, it seems like the days and months pass faster and faster. Riley, this is what you sre doing at 9 months:
1. You love to pull my hair, your daddy's hair, well, anybody's hair.
2. You now have two bottom teeth.
3. You are weighing size 12-18 month clothing.
4. You are not into baby food much anymore, but will eat table food all day long. You eat everything we eat, with the exception of seafood, eggs, nuts, etc.
5. Your hair is still coppery-orange.
6. Your eyes are turning hazel-green.
7. You say "ga ga" "da da" and "ya ya".
8. You LOVE your paci.
9. You are currently sleeping in the bed with us, as you won't stay asleep in your crib.
10. You give me super tight hugs and very wet kisses!

Sittin' Up

Riley has been able to sit up alone without support for a few weeks, but I just recently captured some good photos. He's well into the "Don't leave me, Mommy!" phase, as he screams whenever I leave his sight. Even if Robin is holding him. Robin is so jealous. He can't wait until it's his turn...
